Prevention Strategies
What is Youth Coalition?
MCSAP recognizes that all youth can be at risk of using substances, so our prevention strategies are designed to reach all youth in the Martin County Area School Districts. Based on current local data, we have chosen to focus our resources on alcohol prevention because alcohol is the most frequently used drug by youth, as well as the most common first-use drug. We focus on four areas of prevention:
Reduction of Youth Access
Youth Leadership
Assessment and Positive Community Norms
Education
